Welcome to Drift!

Pardon our dust. We are currently working on updating our site-layout and design! We are open for Roleplay, however, so pop into the discord and say hello! Check out our Guidebook for basic information on the site and do not hesitate to ask our staff if you have any questions. We are a friendly group of people that enjoy writing together (and perhaps creating some juicy in-character drama) and we would love for you to join us!

11/08/20: A mysterious disease seems to be targeting the plant life all throughout Drift. Decay and rot is breaking down trees and small sections of forest in many different places. Meanwhile, a new pack has begun to rise within Idaith while the Assyr pride begins to falter and slowly disappear within Veyr. Winter will be upon the continent soon, but what does this disease mean for the creatures that call this place home? Mysterious sounds and small quakes seem to be happening occasionally when no witnesses are present to see their source. Could they somehow be releated to the disease or are the creatures of Drift destined to be confronted with multiple dangers when the snow begins to fall?

Season

Autumn

The skies have begun to darken with autumn rains during the day and the nighttime temperatures are starting to plummet. Mornings outside of the desert lands are greeted by frozen dew and fog, and leaves have begun to change colors and fall from the trees. Winter is quickly approaching and with it comes unknown dangers. There is strength in numbers, but what about those that have no place to call home?

  1. Far in the southwest corner of Drift lies the lush and prosperous land of Aro'ax. The territory is full of trees and forests, and a wide lagoon holds fish and other sea creatures for the inhabitants to feed on nearly all year round. It is rare that it gets cold here, but when it does there may only be a light sprinkling of snow that does not stick to the ground for long. All in all this is a paradise, though when storms do hit, they hit the lagoon and the western coast hard.

  2. Plentiful forests grow here, covering every single inch of this territory. Small prey and even some herds call this place home, as well as some dangerous predators. Although they may occasionally wander into Idar and Aro'ax, this land is home to the tree dwelling killers, and though they keep themselves hidden and typically stay away from groups, a creature wandering alone may need to take precautions if they value their life.

  3. Nestled up against the coast lies the medium sized territory of Idar. This land is filled with trees similar to it's neighboring territories, though along the coast lies a stretch of sandy and grassy beaches that are protected from the furious weather that hits the coast of Aro'ax. This land also hosts a peninsula and a small island inlet, though for all it's beauty and prosperity it is a land free for any to roam.

  4. Eros is a narrow stretch of land and islands that connects the southwest territories to the main continent of Drift. This land does get hit by the same tropical storms that Aro'ax dreads, and because it is somewhat lower and much more narrow than the other territories in the area, it is not uncommon for the pass to flood entirely and make it impossible to reach the opposite side of the territory during the rainy seasons.

  5. Nestled along the Western coast of Drift between Raivor, Eros, and Idaith, lies the plains, hills, and swamps of Daikr. This area frequently gets hit by rains and storms from the western seas, and shares a small stretch of islands to the north with Raivor that are frequently flooded during the wet season. Beware of trespassing, as Daikr does touch the southern portion of Idaith where passage is more than possible into claimed lands.

  6. The northernmost part of the mainland is partially nestled in the northern mountains of Idaith. However, the peaks and pass here do not belong to the lands below. They are unclaimable and free for anyone to move through, however this land does frequently see heavy snow during the winter months and can be quite dangerous for those that do not know what they are doing in their travels. The rest of the territory is scattered with trees and tundra, and shares the small coastal islands to the west with Daikr.
