Welcome to Drift!

Pardon our dust. We are currently working on updating our site-layout and design! We are open for Roleplay, however, so pop into the discord and say hello! Check out our Guidebook for basic information on the site and do not hesitate to ask our staff if you have any questions. We are a friendly group of people that enjoy writing together (and perhaps creating some juicy in-character drama) and we would love for you to join us!

11/08/20: A mysterious disease seems to be targeting the plant life all throughout Drift. Decay and rot is breaking down trees and small sections of forest in many different places. Meanwhile, a new pack has begun to rise within Idaith while the Assyr pride begins to falter and slowly disappear within Veyr. Winter will be upon the continent soon, but what does this disease mean for the creatures that call this place home? Mysterious sounds and small quakes seem to be happening occasionally when no witnesses are present to see their source. Could they somehow be releated to the disease or are the creatures of Drift destined to be confronted with multiple dangers when the snow begins to fall?

Season

Autumn

The skies have begun to darken with autumn rains during the day and the nighttime temperatures are starting to plummet. Mornings outside of the desert lands are greeted by frozen dew and fog, and leaves have begun to change colors and fall from the trees. Winter is quickly approaching and with it comes unknown dangers. There is strength in numbers, but what about those that have no place to call home?

This narrow stretch of land boarders the eastern coast of the Southern Gulf of Drift. It shares the river border with the lands of Kry'im, as well as the edge of the unclaimable territory of Tai'ako. The lands are warm throughout the year and covered mostly in rich plains and trees here and there. The southernmost tip, however, does begin to see more desert like qualities, and the island off the southern coast sports a surprisingly beautiful reef.

  2. Tucked within the center of the Eastern Territories, Veyr is home to both plains and deserts and borders the watering hole that separates the three territories of the eastern coast. The northern and western borders host hills and lush plains, though as one moves further southeast the lands being to dry out and become more and more barren.

  3. Located at the southernmost tip of the Eastern Peninsula, Zokor is a combination of a swamp and a desert. The lands are more prosperous during the rainy and winter seasons, and are almost completely dry and desert like during the summer months. Their main saving grace is not only the coast, but also the river that runs north along the border of Raeth, providing the lands it touches with nourishment as well as food and drinkable water.

  4. South of the Eastern Watering Hole lies the land of Raeth, an almost peninsula shaped stretch of land that boasts plains and desert, as well as sandy beaches along the eastern coast. The lands that border the river near Zokor are typically plentiful and rich, though the peninsula itself and the small island that borders Kair are barren and rarely see more than dry grasses, cracked earth, and sand.

  5. The southern borders of the land are covered in hills and forests, providing ideal security and food for herds and small creatures. The northern border of the territory sees snow in the winter months, and on very rare occasions the islands that it shares with Treakr may partially freeze and provide a somewhat safe passage to the north. This passage, however, can be dangerous as well, for during the melt the ice and snow connecting the islands breaks away and those who fall beneath them to the waters do not typically find themselves back on dry land ever again.

  6. Not much is known about the lands of Treakr, except for the legends and myths told to the young of Drift. The land is full of trees and mountains, and during the winter months can be nearly completely frozen over. It is told that deadly and fierce monsters call this place home, and it is not uncommon for wanderers that travel here to never find their way home.
