    Wrong [Open]

Life had taken a turn for the worse. Not only had Vox lost track of Khazza, but the female had not come to him to join the pride. And so, with a territory and a name for a group that did not exist, the lava-colored male sat alone. He shook his red-orange mane uncomfortably, while his eyes scanned out over the empty lands below. Well, they were not exactly empty. They were actually quite plentiful, with herds grazing and plenty of grasses to feed them properly. He sighed heavily, lowering himself down to lay on the large rock that sat atop the hill. He had great plans for this place, and with any luck he could still pursue them. However, the pain and loneliness that he now felt were almost crippling. A soft growl rumbled in his throat for a moment, before he bit back the sound and closed his eyes. Was it his fault that Khazza had left him? After all they had been through, how could he? The growl returned quickly, and this time Vox did not swallow it. Instead he allowed it to strengthen, until eventually he lifted himself to stand on the boulder and roar out his claim on this land. He might have been alone, but he was not weak.

He was not as strong and as large as Khazza, but he would not be beaten down. This was his home, and he would build a pride here if it was the last thing he did. His roar was strong, powerful, confident, and threatening. Should anyone dare challenge him, he would waste no time in cutting them down. Proud of how his call echoed across the entire territory for miles in every direction, he finally allowed his body to still as he glared out at his home. It was empty now, but it would not be that way forever. Not if he could help it. Eventually he slowly sat, his long tail hanging off the side of the boulder while the furry tip twitched back and forth in a slow and consistent rhythm. His call had no only been a threat, but a promise as well. Those that wished to join him, those that were worthy, would be welcomed. He silently prayed to the gods that his call would be answered, but he could not help the crushing feeling that it might not be. His glare remained the longer he sat, and slowly - almost without his knowledge - the ground around him trembled. It was faint at first, and then he noted the clattering of the tiny stones that littered the base of the rock he sat on. He concentrated carefully, eventually closing his eyes altogether, and after several minutes the pebbles lifted, trembling and shaking unsteadily in the air and lifting to about half the height of the boulder.

Then, just as quickly as it all began, his eyes opened while the cool breeze blew through his mane and the rocks crashed to the grassy ground once more. A few rolled down the hill harmlessly, the rest settled back down to stillness where they had laid before. The male's glare, however, returned rather quickly. He was in a foul mood, and without any females - or even males - to ease his tension and help him relax, he was growing very ill tempered. "May the gods have mercy on this land and grant me company soon, or hell will surely rain down upon it." He hissed, the words perhaps darker than he meant them to be as he muttered them angrily under his breath. But with them said and thrown into the wind to disappear almost as quickly as they had been uttered, he turned around and leaped off the bolder to land heavily on the thick grass below. His back now to the territory he had looked out on only seconds before, he began to slowly walk down the hill with his head straight out in front of him and his legs stiff with irritation and pent up energy that he had no outlet for.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

Ajani had not slept last night or the night before that. His dreams were surreal and irritating him once day broke as he traveled, unsure of where to go at this point since all his travels eventually led him back to where his mother was safe and sound. Yet he could never truly go home, at least that was what his heart was concerned with since he has not yet made a decision to honor his commitment to Isidore. When would the old male finally ask for his completion of their deal that he had made at such a young impressionable and desperate age. Thinking of home, Isidore, his mother and father had Ajani panting heavily from stress as he wandered. Occasionally shaking his main in a vain attempt to shake off his worries as well. He usually hated to drag his tail on the ground, but today it drooped without any thought or care. A year, he has been alone for a year since his last traveling companion he met. It felt longer than that on some days like today and shorter on better days.

He couldn't stop thinking about his dream of deep red flowers that seemed as if they were burning, strewn out across a field as far as his eye could see. They weren't actually on fire, but they whispered with a light that was hard to describe. It had been a beautiful dream and left Ajani lonelier than ever when he woke unwillingly to some vulture hissing at him from the sky because he had no carcass for the filthy thing to feed off of. He'd snarled at the thing and it took off with squawks and feathers raining down around him. The feathers drifting in the wind in a direction he has not traveled in awhile and something urged him to go that way. And so here he was, walking without direction, again. Like usual. The male was about to tear a tree apart if not prey if he couldn't find something to relieve his pent up energy. The problem was, he wasn't hungry and he hated to wasted life and meal.

Soon enough it would seem that he wouldn't have to waste life and meal because a herd of of pronged animals could be smelt and heard on the wind. Not long after he picked up their dust on the horizon, there was a roar that echoed from that direction which was the source of what had scared them as the sound reached him. Strong, steady, calling and perhaps. Ajani closed his eyes and tilted his head back as he tried to reach out with his mind across the grasses. There was a flash of red and fur in his mind, he gasped and lost the image as his head reared back. He jumped, front paws lifting and falling heavily onto the dirt where he stood. Snorting out his head cocked to the side as he watched the prongs come closer but he cared not for them. No. That was a Diardi roar, from one who was red like the flowers in his dreams and intrigued him as he began to lope forward.

A few chuffs left him as the pace quickened with a flutter of curious excitement in his chest. Was this what his dream promised him? A encounter? It would be nice after his year of lonesome wandering. He just prayed it wasn't for a fight, the roar didn't invite that but still. One could never be too careful. He felt confident enough in his size to investigate as his muzzle rose to the air and he took a deep breath while stopping. Lips drew back from enormous teeth as he roared back. It was deep, eyes closed kind of roar. He roared a second time, softer, invitingly. He wanted to meet the one who called out across the land and so was answering his call. But the first roar was a warning, I am strong and fierce and I will not be taken lightly. It was not a challenge for a lot could be said in a roar despite what other creatures may think. Ajani roared out again, it was a short burst, followed by a few bellowing chuffs. The more welcoming sound his race made.

The prongs that had been making their way towards him veered off to some other direction but he did not care. His sole interest was on the male as he trotted off. Tail streaming behind him as he picked up the pace. Normally he would have approached another male more slowly with continuous calls back and forth. But he was feeling lazy and wanted to get the introductions over with. Boredom made him want to know the males intents so he could decide whether or not to pursue some entertainment in conversation or other otherwise he'd just go about his way. It wasn't far away either which was nice and convenient as he debated a song to sing while traveling. He so did love to sing. It was something he picked up from a Lupus friend two years ago as they'd sung the night away after a pleasant hunt. After deciding a song, he began to sing - not boasting as if for a crowd but more for himself - choosing random parts, and changing to humming at happy random.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

He had almost reached the bottom of the hill when a responding call reached out towards him. The first roar was loud, powerful, almost threatening. Vox's ears flicked backwards and he growled softly to himself, but the next call was more curious, echoing and dancing around him as if the maker wanted to engage with him in some way other than a fight. To this his ears perked back up, and he listened for several moments as the sound ended in a more friendly invitation rather than a blatant challenge. Thankfully he would not need to defend his territory that day, but he also did not have much to defend anyways. He had no one to call his pride, and he was certain that he was just beginning to waste space instead. With a soft sigh he turned towards the sound, glad that it was not far because his patience was not long. It took him only a short while before he spotted the teal Diardi in the distance, and his tail flicked and rose slightly so the tip curled over his back. It was both a habitually dominant gesture as well as one out of curiosity, for with his tail flicked up for all to see, it was clear to the prey that scurried away from him that he had no intentions of fighting or hunting at the moment.

Oh how wonderful would it be when he eventually had some females to do the hunting for him.

He sighed at the thought, but soon focused his eyes back on the male before him. This feline was easily larger than him, but perhaps not by much. If Vox decided he did not like him, he would stand a chance but would likely get pretty torn up in the process. Having no desire to mar his flesh at the present, he let his body relax as he came to a stop several yards in front of the stranger. They now stood in the open plains of his home, and he could not help but wonder at the other male's purpose there. "Hello." The single word was short, to the point, and hopefully did not offer much room around introductions. He did hate it when others did not introduce themselves, and perhaps it was simply because of his social personality but he did like to get to know those he encountered. His yellow eyes scanned over the white and teal form of the other male, admiring the muscle and strength of the other Diardi. That, and the scars. He did not know what it was about scars, but he could not help but be fond of seeing them on others. They made this male look even more threatening, and yet at the same time appealing to the lava colored male that now studied him. "I am Vox, leader of the apparently non-existent Assyr Pride." He said, not meaning to put the sarcasm and annoyance in his tone as he spoke, but it was there nonetheless. He sighed as he finished speaking, shaking his head and frowning for a moment about the betrayal of the male he thought was his friend. Then he focused back on the stranger once more.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

There was no call back to leave so Ajani had to fight hard to keep himself from running towards the hopefully pleasant conversationist. He snorted at the fancy word the threaded together and shook his head. His mothers fault entirely. She had loved to educate him in oral practices. She had been fond of those with the intellectual minds. His mother admitted him to the very last time he saw her that she had actually fancied Isidore and one other male of the Rei'Ja and not his father Durmada but Durmada had grown jealous when she tried to appeal to Isidore and took her from him. A fact that made him hopeful and fearful as well. For he wondered if Isidore knew this and wondered if the male would use that to hurt his mother more if things went the way he didn't want them to go or maybe by some shred of hope. It was a saving silver lining for him and his mother both. If he fancied her back, that is. But, such stresses were forgotten about when the deep red male came into Ajani's line of sight and pleasantly so. This male was handsome and caused Ajani's ears to flick forward and back as his interest rose.

It was interesting because the male's fur reminded him of his own eyes which only further excited Ajani as he believed his dream had led him to this stranger who looked bold, strong, and something else that the lighter colored male could not quite put his claw on. He knew his mother would have adored to compare them. One seeming like a dark eclipsed sun while he was the starry night beside a full moon. His tail swished lazily as the two males became close enough that Ajani could appreciate every detail of the other Diardi. He had scars as well, which held a story in each one. Ajani wondered how many were against the males heart as his own swelled for him when the male spoke. Ajani blinked slowly and came to a stop not too far away. A few feet. He wanted to show his respect as he bowed his head to be lower than the others as he claimed his territory which was fine with Ajani. It was nice land, he couldn't help but smile to himself. Impressed already although his heart ached for the male and his obvious loneliness. Ajani also felt his heart skip a beat with a flutter and couldn't bring himself to bear the weight of tedious caution and suspicion.

I am Ajani, a mere wanderer without a home and I am honored to be your first guest. Your land is bountiful and as long as it exists in your heart, Vox. It is here and strong. Many other travelers have told Ajani that he had a balanced soul of both male and female energy. He didn't understand what that meant and had always hoped his passing friends hadn't meant that he seemed female for he was quite happy with his sex, but he's just come to quietly assume that he was a bit on the romantic side, like his mother. He began to chuff softly, a gentle greeting sound as he hunkered lower. He decided to approach Vox, his stride wide and calm. His lowered to the ground when they were two feet apart until he could raise his head under Vox's chin and throat and rub against him in kind, even somewhat affectionate greetings. It was a bit bold but respectful even subservient to some eyes but his tail was straight out to show he was not timid or weak.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

With introductions out of the way, Vox allowed himself to admire the stranger for a few moments before he nodded at the other male's words. If he were being honest, he was rather pleased with the obvious respect that the other male showed him, and it allowed his red form to relax and lean into his sit as he studied Ajani. He was surprised when the other Diardi stood, though his head tilted curiously as he watched the teal head remain carefully below his own. He was being careful to be respectful of Vox's self-proclaimed position, and the gestured made the smaller male smile slightly. The distance was quickly closed between them, and Vox tensed for a moment as Ajani lifted his head to rub his chin and throat in a kind and almost affectionate manner. The tension diminished quickly, though, and he let a soft purr rumble in his throat and chest as his tail twitched slightly back and forth. "I do not suppose you are looking for a new home?" He asked softly, lifting himself to his feet as he was unable to resist the urge to circle around the other male and inspect him more closely. And he did so, moving slowly in a tight circle around the other male while his tail curled behind him and the tip twitched back and forth gently. Ajani stood a few inches taller than him and was likely heavier as well, but not by too much.

When his circle was completed he stopped and sat beside the other male, turning his head to look over at him before he tilted it and bumped it into Ajani's shoulder. From there he rubbed his forehead against the other male in a similarly affectionate gesture and let his purr rumble in his chest once more. Alright, perhaps he was desperate and lonely. But who could blame him, really? This male was not only larger than him, but he was also friendly and seemingly interested. Why would he not take advantage of such an obvious and promising opportunity? After a few moments he lowered his hips so that he could sit beside the larger male, his head turned and tilted so he could look up at him. Vox was not against sharing his territory with other males, as long as they all got along and worked together. After all, that had been the original intention with Khazza. They were going to run the pride together and share the females they found, as well as each other. Or at least that was Vox's plan. But Khazza had never come to him, and he swallowed the memories and thoughts before they could stifle the purr in his throat for this new handsome stranger.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

The eyes of this male were heavy and left a strange feeling in Ajani's belly. He's liked others before or thought he had. Yet he could not recall if a flutter had danced in his stomach before. Wandering made it hard to form deep bonds. Whatever the case, Ajani found excitement in it and so he wasn't deterred. His greeting had been accepted and his respect appreciated. There was nothing to complain or worry about - for now. Old habits died hard and while his muscles were loose. He was still ready, cautious, and prepared. He was just going to have a little bit of fun at the same time. To what extent, the male wasn't sure. He was just happy to feel fur against his own again. He had noticed that smile before and very much so wanted to see it again. Smiles were contagious, his mother once teased him when he was still young and visited her on his rest day from training. Ajani was happy and all for making the male feel better. The deepness of his sadness and reasonings weren't the same as his but he knew how deep sorrow could be and his code and personality called for kindness.

The great Diardi grinned when Vox began to purr, it was a handsome sound. As a matter of fact. I am. Ajani wanted to bite himself for the playful cheer and honesty that came from him. What was he doing?! He had a home? He had a pride. His mother. But his thoughts raced too swiftly for him to take it back now. You wouldn't know a place, would you? Ajani made sure there was sarcasm there and even met Vox's eyes to show the truth there. That he was happy to consider here as the male circled him. Which he allowed with a smile on his face, looking over his shoulder and lifting his tail to let it run across Vox's shoulder as he passed. The male was slightly shorter than him but Ajani expected as much and continued to smile. Not seeing the male for less because he's learned the hard way that size mattered and yet didn't. It depended on the animal who carried the weight behind the size. He didn't think this male was weak, the way he moved and his scars spoke to that truth.

When Vox completed his circle and moved to sit, so did he although not before his fiery orange red eyes looked Vox over a few times. He chuffed to the bump on his shoulder and he leaned into Vox a bit as a purr of his own erupted from his chest more so than his throat. A sound made louder when that head continued to rub against him. Ajani had to keep his claws from flexing into the ground as he shivered a little. His head ducked and he licked the full length of the top of Vox's head before breathing in his scent and exhaling so his breath would tickle the males ears before his head pulled away. His heart stopped as their eyes met and he chuffed again. His dream flickered through his mind and he slowly lowered his head the short distance between them and touched noses with Vox silently without a word. His nose remained their as he gazed into the males eyes. Tempted to reach into his mind and tickle his thoughts but he did not out of respect as they sat there touching noses.

I think I've found that home... he murmured softly - rubbing his nose into Vox's. Whiskers twitching.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

His initial encounter with Mint had gone far better than expected… granted, he knew very well that while he was one of the largest males of their species he knew that he was nowhere near THE largest… the thought had never really bothered him until he found himself protecting a female much smaller than himself, a beautiful female at that, and he knew that he would need help protecting her, even if it meant sharing her with another male or two. Izel growled at the thought… he did not truly want to share her, particularly knowing that by the way she reacted when they first met she had much more experience with the crueler types of his sex, a fact that may have unknowingly benefitted him when meeting her. He looked over his shoulder where he was sure the small green-colored female he was so fond of, perhaps even loved to an extent despite their short time together, was close to his side as he had asked her to stay… at the very least if she was seen right next to him by other wandering males they would not suspect that she was free to claim. The male came to a rather strong and recent scent marker that made him slow his pace… it seemed to be a single male claiming a rather large area, but he wasn’t too sure… until he heard the booming call that laid his official claim, but Izel’s ears perked with curiosity… his call seemed almost lonely.

The end of his tail twitched curiously, particularly when he heard another male’s call in return to the claim… was it possible that he may have stumbled upon the opportune moment to join a pride as it scarcely began to form? He scented the air, yes… the claimer had been but a single male, either he was very confident in gaining members or perhaps he had been left behind… the other male’s scent seemed to be entirely alone, nothing else mixed with the brute’s lone scent. He glanced back at Mint, worried now for her safety… after all, as far as he could tell she was the only female for miles around… which meant that if he were to keep her safe, he would have to hope and pray that the male that claimed this territory was not one of the cruel monsters of her past… nor even a new cruel being to torment her. His brow furrowed at the though… no, he had promised not to hurt her, to keep her safe… to protect her. He would not fail the small female. “Stay quiet, and remain upwind of those males… shouldn’t be hard.” he said softly as they approached, “With any luck… we’ve arrived just as a pride forms, my sweet Mint…and they will allow us in, they will be kind to you and protect you alongside me.” he paused for a moment and came to a complete stop. He lowered himself so he was completely eye level with her, “If either of them ever try to harm you though… we will leave. I promised to take care of you, after all.” he purred, the sound deep and rumbling in his chest. Once he made a promise he was sure to keep his word, and after he had shared the intimacy he did with her… he was even more so protective.

Izel purred lowly as he remembered the sweet tenderness of those moments and he lowered his muzzle to gently lick the top of her head, “No matter what, I’ve got you.” he purred, “If they seem like trouble you and I will go elsewhere.” he finished off, rubbing his head against hers in reassurance before he led the way once again, studying both males as they came into view. The teal colored one seemed to be the newcomer, though slightly larger than the fire coated one that he assumed laid claim to the land. Both of them were larger than him, but he remained calm… he kept his head carefully lower than the flame colored male’s and kept his tail in a relaxed position behind him, though it did not touch the ground as he walked. The young male went slow enough to make sure the two felines acknowledged his approach, as he seemed to be coming up on a rather affectionate moment, and then stopped a few yards from the pair, “Greetings to you both, I am Izel.” he paused here and studied them both before continuing, “This is Mint. We are in need of a home and, well… we heard your claim to these lands and only hope you’d have room for two more?” he questioned softly, respectfully… though he could not help his wandering eyes. As much as he looked them over to evaluate his chances of fighting them should things go sour, the purple hued male couldn’t help but notice how attractive they both were… if they accepted Mint and he they would make an exceptionally attractive pride, though skills were more important for survival, it helped Izel better acclimate to the idea of sharing his sweet Mint with two other handsome, and at least friendly, males. He let his tail sway gently to the side Mint was at and reassuring rub against her back leg, he desperately hoped this would be a new beginning for them both.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

The purr of the other male was music to his ears as they let themselves enjoy the intimate moment and he felt the other male's tongue swipe over his head. His purr only grew louder at that, and when Ajani pressed his nose against his and said that he wanted this to be his home, Vox was elated. He smiled and closed his eyes for a moment, enjoying the physical contact before he was forced to pull away at the sound of another Diardi - or pair of Diardi it seemed - approaching. His tail flicked and moved to twist around Ajani's as he looked over the violet male and the green female behind him. They were both smaller than even him, but the female was by far the smallest of the group. He easily noticed how the stranger kept his head lower than both of them, and he smiled offering a small nod of greeting at the friendly approach. Would he be lucky enough to not only find one new male to join his pride, but two males and a female? He was almost to surprised and happy to speak, but he managed to listen to the violet male's words carefully before he pushed himself to his feet and brushed his shoulder up against Ajani's.

"It is a pleasure to meet you both, and I believe there is room for you both here." He said, slowly closing the distance between them. He noticed the fear and anxiety in the female's eyes, but as she kept close to the violet male there was truly no way for him to give her the space she wanted if he was to inspect the violet Diardi. So he watched her carefully, offering a small smile and dipping his head down to her level to gently brush his nose against hers. It was an affectionate and welcoming gesture, and he even went as far as to swipe his tongue over her forehead gently before he turned to circle around Izel as he had with Ajani. He made a tight circle around the slightly smaller male, before coming up to sit beside him and gently bumping his forehead against the other Diardi's shoulder. Although Vox had been the one to claim the territory and officially create the pride, he doubted he would be the dominant male of the group. Still, as long as he got the attention that he desired, he did not mind stepping aside for one of the other two males to make decisions here and there. They would work as a team, to protect the territory as well as Mint and any other females that chose to join them.

It seemed like the little female relaxed a bit after his affectionate gestures, and he focused his attention on Izel as a soft purr rumbled in his throat. "I am Vox, and this is Ajani. Welcome to Assyr." He said, essentially welcoming all three of them into his pride. He smiled as he did so, and pushed himself back up onto his paws so that his tail brushed lightly against Mint's side. She smelled strongly of Izel and he had no doubt that the other male had already claimed her for himself. But as ruling males, they would share all of the females that joined them. Still, there was no need for him to force himself on the female then and there. He would allow her to adjust and get to know them before he approached her about anything. His emotions slowly got the better of him, and he found his purr rumbling louder until he was once again letting out a claiming roar. This was their pride, their home, and he could not wait to hear the roars of the two other males joining in to solidify their claim over the land they stood upon and the female they all now protected.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

When Vox's purr grew louder, it served to please Ajani greatly as his chest felt full and warm. His skin beneath his fur was tingling, something he has never experienced. There was a painful urge to open his mind to Vox, but he was reserved only because he was trying to be polite. He did not want to scare off this blessed male and this wonderful meeting of fate. Ajani has decided that yes, this was what the fates had decided and led him to. He just prayed, hoped and pleaded to the stars that this would end beautifully and not in tragedy as so often things did in his life. There were rational thoughts needling him in the back of his mind but for once, Ajani was able to ignore them and truly be free and whole again as a Diardi. Maybe someday if this lasted, he could share these great things with Vox and did wonder what the male would think or if like he feared, he'd shrug it off and be cruel like the males from home would have - he was sure of it.

Still, those anxieties couldn't last. Not when those deep eyes found his for a moment and then closed, which was another sign of trust. Ajani would have said more but there was a voice introducing itself - two selves. He tensed, the male had caught him upwind. A very soft rumble that only Vox would have heard briefly touched his throat as his eyes lifted and burned in Izel and Mint's direction. Upon seeing how small their visitors were, the great male relaxed with a soft sigh and scolded himself inwardly. He had no right to be possessive of a male he's just met. At least that was what he told himself until a tail curled around his, sending a trickling sensation up his spine that made him shiver and curl his tail back into Vox's. He hasn't done such a thing since he was with his mother, had only ever done it with her and it was a great show of affection that he's missed and now took his breath away as Vox introduced them. Which saved him the embarrassment of being speechless.

Ajani wasn't sure if it was Vox's touch that softened him or the friendliness of the duo who were of appealing colors. Their smaller forms awoke his protective side as he stood up with Vox and brushed his chin atop of the males head and stood close when his shoulder was brushed. It was briefly annoying to watch Vox leave his side but he stayed put out of respect to him as he handled the newcomers. Smiling all same as he swished his tail and lowered his head slowly so he did not stand so tall above them both. It was when Vox was done circling that he finally decided to pad forward and bump foreheads gently with Izel first and chuffed fondly then moved to carefully place his nose against Mints while purring. Doing his best not to appear so large as the poor thing was quite obviously frightened although she was calming down as he shifted to lay down next to her so that both newcomers were between he and Vox.

Hearing the official welcoming of the Pride they were now forming, his head lifted and mere seconds after Vox roared, he echoed his call with honor in his heart. A heart that was beating, that was beginning to panic as he wondered what he has done to himself and his mother now by choosing to do this. Did he intend to bring his mother here then? Abandon the others at home to the fate of the Rei'Ja? He didn't want to bring these Diardi into that as well, more so he didn't want to bring Vox into it and he was aggravated as much as he was fascinated that his heart was so strongly tugged towards the molten beast. All he could do was sing his voice into the roar until his lungs ran out of air and he was left breathless while his whole body hummed. His gaze lifted to look over and up at Vox. Recalling his dream of the field covered in red flowers the same colors as Vox's fur and tried to let the imagery comfort him as his heart raced.

After the chorus of roars and silence fell between the newly made pride, Ajani yawned to shake off the tension in his chest. He looked down at little Mint or more so at her since lying next to her leveled their height more or less - almost. "Have you and your friend, Izel eaten? If not, I would go and hunt for you three." His gaze went back to Vox at the end of his sentence. He could bring down a large animal and feed them all if he was lucky. "Or perhaps we can seal this pride by a hunt together for our first meal?" He suggested, holding Vox's eyes as he wished not to step on the males toes. The gaze lingered then went to Izel as his head tilted slightly, then inclined towards him. Willing to hear his input and little Mint's as well as his gaze dropped to her last. He was not sure the poor female could bring a meal back by herself for the three of them much less herself. She seemed too frail and it was why Ajani offered to help.

    Re: Wrong [Open]

Izel was careful to make sure his head remained low and his body as relaxed as he could make it before the flame colored male approached Mint and himself. He could sense the female’s fear and anxiety and he let a low, comforting purr emit from his chest, a sound meant to calm and reassure her as his tail moved to rest protectively over the end of her tail. He prayed these males were not of ill intention and that they would welcome the two of them with open arms, and he was beyond relieved when he got a friendly greeting in return from not just one but both of the brutes before them. He watched as the fire toned diardi stood and walked toward them, no doubt to inspect them, and he couldn’t help the small smile upon his lips as he seemed to take notice of his nervous little companion’s feelings and tried to accommodate her… he was grateful that the pair seemed respectful of her and he couldn’t hold back a happy purr as Vox said there was plenty of room for them both.

After Vox sat beside him, Izel brought his muzzle to the larger male’s shoulder and rubbed his forehead against the other male in an affectionate fashion… it had been quite some time for the brute since he had found himself in the company of another attractive male… and here he was, in the presence of not only one but two attractive brutes that he looked forward to getting to know. Izel knew deep down inside that he would always prefer females to males… but that didn’t mean he couldn’t explore and have fun with the same sex, right? He hoped the others were as open to such ideas as he was and that it wouldn’t be an issue to arise later on in their relationships with one another, but as he saw and felt all the affectionate gestures that the males had to offer, he sensed that he would have nothing to worry about. ‘I am Vox, and this is Ajani. Welcome to Assyr.’ Izel purred in contentment at the statement, “It’s a pleasure to meet you both.” he said, his voice rumbling gently as he spoke. He brought his muzzle back to Mint’s neck and nuzzled her gently, slowly making his way up to her ear, “Welcome home, Mint.” he purred softly as he licked over the top of her ear. He knew that the ruling males would always have rights to take whatever females they chose within the pride… and while he still felt protective of the small female, he found he was okay with the idea of sharing her, as long as no harm was brought to her… and he felt that no matter the circumstances, this would always be the case.

Izel lifted his head as he heard Vox’s purr slowly evolve into another full out roar, once again announcing his claim over the land for those from miles around to hear. Soon Ajani’s roar also joined in and before Izel fully processed it, he found himself lifting his parted maw toward the sky and letting loose his own roar, joining the chorus of the other two males’ roars to let all know from far and wide that this was their land, their home… Assyr would be a strong and mighty pride, of this he had no doubt as he looked around at its founding members. His ear swiveled toward the teal male as he spoke of hunting… the pair had not eaten that day and he supposed the small female would be hungry by now, “A hunt together sounds like a great idea.” Izel said, his baritone vocals rumbling in what resembled a loud purr in his chest… it had been so long since he had been in a pride he had almost forgotten that it was in fact typically the females’ job to provide meals for them… however, considering the size of his mint green companion and the fact that she was the only female… well, he was glad to see that at least one of the males seemed to take that into account.
